LATIN JAZZ ENSEMBLE .. This latest group in the lineup of NHBCOS 'bands' is
exciting and you're gonna love 'em as they play for everyone's listening pleasure on concert night. Yup, they're our new opening band thanks to Thomas T. on Classical Guitar, Jeff A. playing Fluegel Horn, and LaVonne H. on Upright Bass. They are all exciting musicians and will be performing on instruments that are not their primary ones. THE EXCITEMENT NEVER ENDS IN NHBCOS!!

BEGINNING BAND .. The class has just completed the BEST IN CLASS, Book 1. At least one of the members is moving on to the Intermediate Band and will definitely be an asset to them. Jeri M. is very happy since returning to the Clarinet--and we are pleased she heard about us and pursued that information.

Fifteen are participating in the Concert on Thursday, March 18th (in Joyce H. Beginning Band) and we are thrilled to have them as part of the program. This will help to illustrate to the audience what a total package we are offering the adult community of Colorado Springs.

INTERMEDIATE/18-39 BAND .. We are very excited the Intermediate/18-39 folks
voted to be part of our upcoming concert and look forward to their contribution. This band now numbers in excess of 30 folks and it has given everyone that ray of hope we've been looking for.

The lineup for this performance includes:

DORCHESTER (Concert March)
CEREMONIAL: PROLOGUE AND DANCE
CALYPSO VARIATIONS (ON 'TINGA LAYO')
WHEN YUBA PLAYS THE RHUMBA ON THE TUBA (Featuring Robyn B. and Hal R. on Tuba)

We are hoping this group takes off and that will happen if everyone in the band recruits just one! Eventually, the band will split, affording each age group a band of their own.

FEEL BETTER SOON, Julie Ann H. (bad back) and Robyn B. (broken foot). We need you with us. Know we're thinking 'bout ya!!
